I just saw a story of debugging madness on dive into mark which cracked me up …

I decide, guiltily, to remove the [failed] test in question and release … anyway … hope no one notices. Hey, it’s beta. Remove … re-run the complete test suite, and all tests pass… except the test [which used to pass] that is now in the same position as the one I just removed.

Don’t you just love hunting those exotic, mysterious, dark strangers’ bugs? For those of you who don’t program, and don’t understand what could possibly be so hard … yes, that is what writting software is like. [:-p]
