So, my school quarter is almost over … and I’m not taking any courses over the summer this year (actually, in the graduate program there’s not really much offered in the summer except independent study opportunities). I have one final left this week, and next week I’ll be back to being “normal” for the summer: that is, working full-time, but with no extra assignments that eat up all of my free time.
I can’t help thinking that summers don’t last long, so I’m trying to plan all sorts of things that I want to get done before I start classes again in the fall and go back to having no free time at all:
- My “honey-do” list has four years worth of backed up items on it
- My wife and daughter have an entire winter’s worth of being cooped up to overcome
- We have a family reunion and vacation in June
- I can hear the nearby disc-golf course calling my name
- My various web-site customers have 10 weeks worth of unfulfilled requests
- This website looks dreafully boring and cookie-cutter
- GeoShell has about 5 months of dust on it’s latest release
- There are at least two video games waiting for me to buy them
- There are at least 10 movies that I missed on the big screen which are already coming out on DVD
Wow … clearly I’m not going to catch up on all of that … I mean, I still have to work 40 hours a week, but we shall see, and I’ll try to keep my site more up to date, at least until Fall.
