Just caught this link … somewhere … to the AquaSoft Forum where someone’s posted a pretty slick face-lift for Google Mail to make it feel more like a Mac application with their nasty fake brushed steel look. Reminds me so much of those silver appliances like TV’s and DVD players. What’s up with that? It doesn’t look like silver, or aluminun, or brushed steel, or anything else cool and expensive. I gotta say: if it’s made of plastic, just stick with the matte black and dull beige.
So anyway, yeah, Google Mail with an iMac look … maybe this will inspire more makeovers, maybe even one that I would consider using.
