So, Microsoft has moved their Virtual Earth onto live.com … and I went over and had a look, and these have to be the closest aerial photos of my house that I’ve ever seen. Once you click that link, you’ll have to wait a moment for all the scripty goodness to kick in, and then click the link for “Bird’s Eye” photos, and zoom back in (using your mouse wheel, or the + and – buttons on the keyboard). Of course, it’s probably more interesting to check out another address like this one.
These are just amazing.
I mean, you’re not going to read license plates or anything, but wow! And check out the compass in the top left! You can click on that to see pictures from any angle, so just in case you approach my house by boat, and are walking across the field, you’ll still be able to recognize it … [glare]
With a name like local.live.com … they’re really not very “live,” but they’re also not old photos from last decade … in fact, as far as I can tell from the car in the driveway, these are from last fall. Not for nothing, but I think the next time I hear planes flying over, I’m going to run out and stand in the middle of the lawn and smile. Actually, I really should consider painting a message on the roof…
That is one heck of a house you have there!! Wish that you would invite me over sometime.
Or, maybe I could just move in and help you pain that message on your roof. LOL I didn’t read the whole article before I clicked on the link. So, I was very surprised to see what you called your house.
Wow, I thought that you actually meant your house!! I clicked on the link before I read the rest of the article. You should invite us over sometime. Or better yet why don’t we just move in. It looks like you have a lot of room.
I posted a comment earlier and gave the wrong web address. Stupid me. Well, what can I say it is new.
