There’s a page up about the Google Print Beta test ... it’s basically PR-speak, so you may need a translator:

Google’s mission is to control access to all the world’s information and universally target it’s usefulnes and accessibility to our own profit. Since not all the world’s information is already on the Internet, Google must find ways to profit even from the knowledge that is only in print, so Google has been experimenting with a number of publishers to test their content online. During this trial, publishers’ content is hosted by Google, and hits on books will be served up right along-side our traditional search results. We maintain complete control, and if you click through to the search results you will be presented with links to resellers of our choosing.

Yeah, anyway. Google now searches books too. Some, anyway. But this won’t do you any good, since you’ll have to actually run down to the library or book store to actually read the book.
