Edit : Opera is now permanently free…
Edit : The Opera promo is over, but Laplink continues to give away PCMover (presumably through the 10th like originally planned?)
The excellent Opera browser costs $39. Unless you go to the on line birthday party where they are giving away free licenses until the end of the month. Personally, I think I still prefer Firefox, but you might not, and there’s never been a better time to try Opera than now, when they’re giving it away!
Laplink PCmover also costs $40, and is also free through today (actually, it’s supposed to be until Sept. 10th, but the website says only until Aug 31st)... But only if you go to their special promo page to download it.
Ok, that’s two free software packages worth nearly $80, what are you still doing here? Well, just because I’m a nice guy, here’s a link to Tech Support Alert’s best 46 free utilities page, where they list the absolute best free programs in 46 categories from anonymizers to zip utilities … and don’t forget the Pricelessware list, it’s another great list of the best free software. Neither of them know that Opera and PCmover were free this month, but they’re very good lists with quality software on them.
Very handy. Thank you. adds to collection of Program Keys
