The next version of Microsoft Exchange will be made available earlier than previously expected … sometime next year. This is primarily because the new version will include support for the x64 (AMD 64-bit enhancements), and multi-core CPUa??s, which will be supported by versions of Windows and Visual Studio tools released later this year. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Exchange is the one Microsoft product that has stiff competition from multiple alternate vendors …

Exchange 12 is also slated to include voice mail and fax capability, as well as some mobile support and security and other enhancements….
