    Yeah, Texas is cheap. That’s why I’m staying here once I finish law school. We are one of the few states without a state income tax, which is probably the biggest factor putting Texas cities at the top. One of them was Austin, I’d bet. Austin is nicknamed Silicon Hills, and it’s a gorgeous place. It’s also more like the coasts in political values, as well, so if you’re afraid of the stereotypical Texan, you don’t have to run into them that often.

    Also you never know which place will fuel your future growth. The cost of living may be very high

    and you may not be able to save much but what if that place has the BEST growth opportunities ?
